But it is the book I have reached for time and time again in the Sunday school class I co-teach with Pearl. About the artist:
Sergio Cariello has been an accomplished artist since childhood, drawing a regular comic strip for his city’s newspaper by age eleven. He later worked for Marvel and DC Comics. He attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art as well as the Word of Life Bible Institute.

A book to shape your little one's heart and mind

I aim for my 2nd and 4th grade boys to cherish reading and embrace a love for Jesus (and know they are loved by Him). This Action Bible, with its story telling style, achieves both splendidly. Its graphic novel format captivates my son's interest, making it difficult for him to set aside because he's so engrossed in the narrative. What I cherish most is that it encourages independent reading. We've had enriching discussions stemming from his reading sessions, often in our car because it has become a fast favorite. It feels like my son is truly comprehending the Bible stories on his own. I love how this book is shaping both his heart and mind.

Great content, heavy book

I love the content and readability of this bible book for my eight year old boy but because it is so big and heavy it is not as easy to hold and travel with as I would have hoped.

One of the things we adults have loved best about this bible is that it doesn't sugar coat the events and it's not all the same stories told in most picture bibles. The graphic novel style makes it perfect for early readers 3rd grade and up! My children were often caught reading this at bedtime when they first learned to read.
