Science in the Atomic Age covers topics exciting to students of all ages, particularly preteens and early teens. This laboratory-based middle school science course is designed to be an introduction to general science. 

Beginning with our current understanding of atoms and then transitioning to a full-blown study of life, all topics in Science in the Atomic Age are discussed in the context of history. 

Your child will learn about fascinating scientific breakthroughs from atoms to organs and human life, from communities to ecosystems. These include identifying the human appendix's function and the discovery of soft tissue in dinosaur fossils. Your student will also learn science in connection with historical developments and key scientists.

As in all Berean Builder courses, Science in the Atomic Age focuses on discovering through experiments and hands-on activities. These experiments and activities use household items or things sold in supermarkets, drug stores, or hardware stores. Or, if life is chaotic in your household, a lab kit is also available.

Science in the Atomic Age is easy to follow, and because it does not require scary scientific equipment, it allows junior high students to work independently. Science in the Atomic Age does an excellent job of well-preparing middle school students for high school science.

The Science in the Atomic Age Set includes the text and the Answer Key & Tests book. Answer Key & Tests for Science in the Atomic Age contains answers for the review exercises in the text and hints to make checking, correcting, and explaining the students' work easier. 

And while the author suggests that testing is unnecessary for most families, he includes tests and test solutions for families who find it beneficial.
