Mind Benders Level 2

It's a little over my 7 yo ability to do independently, even though the age says 1-2grade. But we do it together, she reads it and I guide her by asking questions to help her find the answers.

We all love this book. I wish we had bought the next to levels. He was a little intimated at first but once understood the concept begs to do more sheets. My sons is a great learner but wasn’t thrill about math problems. This book helped him get over anxiety and frustration of problem solving math problems.

My 7-year-old son really enjoys doing these logic puzzles. We did Level 1 last year, so he was able to do the first set in this book pretty easily, but about a third of the way through he started hitting some more difficult ones that require him to think more. He gets frustrated when he can't immediately figure something out, so we have had to slow down and will probably have to continue this book into second grade. I think it's an excellent book for teaching children how to reason logically.

Great gear books are fun to do out loud. My daughter can’t do it on her own, but it’s fun to read aloud and talk our way through it.

This book was fun for my first grader. She found most of the puzzles to be pretty easy but there were a few that she really had to think about. I like that it got her thinking in different ways. She had never done any puzzles like these before. Although the age says 1-2 grades, I do feel that it would be too easy for past first grade. My Pre-K child was able to figure some of these out when I read them to her. I am considering getting some harder ones for my daughter for second grade.
