Mathematical Reasoning F

Most parents know that a child who only memorizes math facts without really understanding math will find progressively complex concepts more and more difficult to understand. But what they erroneously think is that such problems arise about the time a child is memorizing the multiplication table. Not so.

Reading is a necessary skill that is tightly woven throughout our entire day. On the other hand, math tends to be a more sporadic subject, essential when you need it and then quickly set aside. That is why it is imperative that a child can reason his way through any mathematical problem.

Award-winning Mathematical Reasoning F is a great place to start. With quick, straightforward problems to build mathematical reasoning skills in fifth-grade students, these highly motivational activities will take your child beyond mere drill work by using step-by-step, discussion-based problem-solving. Concepts spiral gradually so that children do not forget as they go. The concepts are written to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics standards. Non-reproducible.

    So far so good!

My son hasn't been working in this book very long, but so far I really like it. I like that it has puzzles and activities to work through concepts. It isn't really clear on a specific topic, but rather very generally. However, the fact that so far many of the pages have been puzzles, it is not only math , but logic exercises as well.

    Presentation Is Key

I love these books because the color and fun images make it appealing, AND the math concepts are clearly presented and easy to understand. The sample problems are easy to follow and duplicate as my students solve their own problems.

    Pleased with my purchase

I have been using the Mathematical Reasoning book Level F for my third grader. I am very pleased with the materials but I feel the book it's self is not marked correctly for kids that are keeping up with the common core curriculum. The book itself is loaded with tuns of fun and challenging worksheets. I am very pleased with my purchase.
