    I wasn't sure I was going to like this reading series. My child is 8 years old, going into 2nd grade but a reluctant reader. I bought this series for 1st grade. I decided to back track a bit and work on the phonics part of reading and this series is great for that component! I also realized that in my relaxed style of homeschooling, my son hadn't learned all his letter formations and was confused by upper case and lower case letters. I am reading the stories to him currently and they are short and sweet with some comprehension questions for him. We both like this part of the program! I would recommend this series.

    My son has a solid phonics foundation, and this workbook is perfect to continue building those skills! The pictures and bright colors help keep him engaged in his assignments. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

    Don't judge a book by it's cover

    My daushter to learn to read. When I first recived this product I thought it was to advanced for her! We went ahead and began to us it and very quickly things began to click!She is now reading at or above grade level! The only cons I have found is that book does have a lot of english lessons in it wish I had konw that befor buying an additional english program. over all wonderful product!
