Great Buildings

Take your little one on a tour of the largest, highest, most beautiful, and oldest structures worldwide in Great Buildings. Stunning photography, simple text, and cheeky illustrations make Great Buildings a lovely introduction to the history of buildings.

From a look at ancient peoples' first attempt at a shelter, Great Buildings continues to the Parthenon, the Colosseum, the Taj Mahal, the Statue of Liberty, and more.

Nearly every double-page spread includes a famous building from different angles with fun questions for you to ask your child. A globe in the upper corner helps place each building's spot in the world. There are also short and simple facts about the geography and culture of where the building is located.

The diversity of location, the interactive elements, and the fun illustrations make Great Buildings an excellent addition to every family library.

From the Publisher:
A building is something that a person has built. Houses, shops, offices ... But do you know what the first houses look like? And what the ancient Greeks and Romans built? In this book you will learn about the largest, highest, most beautiful and oldest buildings in the world. You discover why the tower of Pisa is leaning and which building reaches all the way to the clouds.

An informative book full of fun facts and special stories about magnificent buildings, with beautiful pictures and nice drawings. For children ages 5 years and up.

great book

Even though it's a preschool book, we used this during our morning time as a family and learned so much as a family. Our 4 year old loved it, as well as our 6, 8 and 10 year old.

Great book

My 3 year old uses this book and every time we open it my other kids all come join in. My older son has even learned from it. It has great pictures, involves the reader by asking a question about the building and my kids now point out buildings from the book when they see them on tv or when traveling and actually remember the names of them! So cool! We really loved this book.
