The Building Blocks Laboratory Notebook includes the 5 core science subjects (chemistry, biology, physics, geology, and astronomy) integrated into one softcover notebook.

The Laboratory Notebook is meant to accompany the Building Blocks Student Textbook and Building Blocks Teacher's Manual for one year of study.

There are (22) experiments in each Laboratory Notebook that align with the Student Textbook chapters. There are also (22) optional "Just for Fun" experiments. Students perform their own investigations and collect their own data directly in the Lab Notebook.

Experiments include: observing chemistry in everyday life, making model molecules, sorting objects, observing living and nonliving things, exploring the concept of work in physics, testing gravitational stored energy, observing dirt and rocks, exploring lava flows, modeling solar and lunar eclipses, observing the Moon, and many more.
