Mathematical Reasoning Grades 2-4 Supplement

If your current mathematical program is weak in reasoning skills, or if your student needs additional help with this topic, then the Mathematical Reasoning Grades 2-4 Supplement is for you.

Most parents know that a child who only memorizes math facts without really understanding math will find progressively complex concepts more and more difficult to understand. But what they erroneously think is that such problems arise about the time a child is memorizing the multiplication table. Not so.

Reading is an essential skill that is tightly woven throughout our entire day. On the other hand, math tends to be a more sporadic subject, important when you need it and then quickly set aside. That is why a child must be able to reason his way through any mathematical problem.

The focus of the Mathematical Reasoning Grades 2-4 Supplement is not to teach your students arithmetic facts or skills. Rather it is designed to develop the ability to apply analytical and reasoning skills to a wide variety of mathematical concepts.

Throughout these activities, you will build logical, analytical, investigative, and explanatory skills, and explore quantitative and spatial relationships, an essential foundation for mathematical understanding. Wouldn't you like for your student to not merely solve math equations but comprehend them?

For a complete mathematics curriculum by the same publisher, consider one of these titles:

Mathematical Reasoning C (Grade 2)

Mathematical Reasoning D (Grade 3)

Mathematical Reasoning E (Grade 4)

Wonderful Supplement!

We started homeschooling last year and it took me so much time looking online for free worksheets. Not only was it time consuming and very difficult to find worksheets in order, I spent crazy amounts of money on ink just to print out these unorganized worksheets. I needed something already put together and organized properly and also would save me money on ink. When I found the Mathematical Reasoning books I could not wait to try them out. My girls love them and I couldn't be happier! With over 300 pages so well organized, it made everything easier for me. I use them as a supplement with the Teaching Textbooks.
