Easy approach to writing

This is a simple daily writing program. It is nice that it breaks it down a little everyday. The concepts are easy and straightforward, and it truly is open-and-go, which is great for the parent. At the fifth grade level, it does become more writing intensive with a lot of rewriting of paragraphs, which sometimes can get tedious for the student. But overall, this is an easy approach to writing.

Easy To Follow Fun To Use

Simple and easy to use. My 5th grader works through this independently throughout the week and then we use the writing prompt at the end of the week.

Six Traits of Writing

This is such an easy way to daily incorporate writing into our school time. I appreciate how there is one rubric that is used across the writing.

A must for your language arts curriculum

We will continue to buy Daily 6-Trait Writing books! Our daughter is 8 and she just tested 7th and 8th grade in her language arts tests. We know it is due to this curriculum and the Language Lessons books by Sandi Queen that Timberdoodle offers. We like that every week the Daily 6-Trait has a day of free writing that builds on the concepts that are taught all week long. We are able to see each week's trait with her own personal touch. Great curriculum!

Review by Peace Love and Rainbows

My oldest a 4th grader uses this for her writing in school so this is perfect to keep those skills going in the summer, and work on skills she needs some more practice with.

Give your fifth-graders the fun and focused writing practice they need to become to become strong and successful writers. The 125 engaging, 10- to 15-minute lessons support any writing program.

What I love about this workbook: I love that they lessons are short and to the point. They are fun and engaging so your child doesn't mind doing a 15 minute lesson after school or on the weekends or summer. I love that they have a short lesson plan for us mom's to do with our kids to help them before they start the worksheet. What I really love is that it builds up the skills each day and through out the whole workbook.

Daily 6 Trait Writing is a whole and complete writing program that will help your kids become better writers.

I'm glad we have this book and will work through the whole book over the summer so day 1 of 5th grade she will be 100% ready and a wonderful writer!
