Daily 6-Trait Writing

Help your child develop writing skills using daily lessons that fit into every language arts program. Are you familiar with trait writing? Trait-based writing is an impressive method educators have developed to determine if a child's writing is skilled or not.

The six traits or characteristics that shape quality writing are content; organization; word choice; sentence fluency; voice, and conventions, including grammar, spelling, and mechanics. It may sound ominous, but Daily 6-Trait Writing has made it effortless.

With 125 dynamic writing lessons, Daily 6-Trait Writing will provide your child with practice and instruction concerning all the skills essential to becoming a competent writer. Great Little book

We are enjoying this book. Great daily lessons that are fast and easy. At the end of the week the kids get to create their own story with picture which they love! Each of my kids can do this if course in their own level either writing a couple sentences the best they can or dictating to me and I transcribing their words.
They are enjoying this workbook and I would definitely will buy the next one in the series after this one. Including a funny pic of my daughters work regarding a good and interesting topic- “Dung bugs”. Good for a laugh

great writing work

We love this and do about 2 pages at a time, then 2 pages plus the journals another day. The prompts are fun and my kiddo really likes to do them.

A Great Filler

So simple, little prep time. You may spend a max of 10 minutes on a lesson. It functions great as review work with simplified definitions of what a first grader is already learning. Worth the purchase!
