Doodle Your Day

Doodle Your Day introduces your child to micro journaling: journaling in small bits. From drawing today’s weather to sketching what made them laugh on International Moment of Laughter Day, kids will love exploring their imagination with such an immense variety of topics.

The occasional topics that repeat themselves through the year (what I ate for lunch and what I learned today), will add historical life reference points to this one-of-a-kind illustrated keepsake.

Doodle Your Day is not strictly a doodle book. Occasionally, your child will be encouraged to paste or journal using the “wacky word of the day” in a sentence. Doodle Your Day is an easy, appealing way to expand your child’s creative juices. And with 365 doodle and journaling prompts for your young artists, Doodle Your Day makes micro journaling easy. Ages 8 and older.

Note: If you are fussy about what you hand off to your children like our family is, you will find that a few Doodle Your Day exercises may warrant skipping.

”My daughter and I both think this journal is awesome! We start our day with it. I leave it on the table with her assignment notebook each morning so she can start her day with doodling.”

Doodle journaling

We plan on starting this on January first. I wanted something to follow up the doodling we did with My Year of Discovery journaling. Son balks at writing, so I've been trying to find other strategies to develop communication of ideas. This book still expects some writing, despite my hope of 100% drawing. So, we will be modifying those writing days to drawing.

Fun way to start school!

My child loves this! It’s like a quick scrapbook/diary for the day.

Really cool

My daughter's literal words were, "It is one of those cool things that you never do." So while we really liked it, it just didn't get used in our house.

Doodle Diary

A great inspirational daily doodle book with prompts of what to doodle, word of the day, collecting items. It's more than just doodling. All 3 of my kids have enjoyed it.

Fun!

This has been a really fun way for my 6th grader to journal. Some days he is more into it than others but it’s always fun. He especially likes the “wacky word of the day”. Monkeyshines is a new addition to his vocabulary now!
