Timberdoodle's Review

What's Going on Here?

What's Going on Here? flashcards are an excellent tool for parents who want to teach their children how to make inferences using both obvious and subtle observations in conjunction with logic. The What's Going on Here? animal illustrations have much kid appeal, and each tells a story for children to unravel.

There are parental prompt questions on the back of each card to guide the conversation and for helping your child discern the motivations of others. You will also discuss appropriate social expectations and how to develop respect and empathy. When you teach your child to study and decode sticky situations, you give them insights into appropriately navigating social situations with poise and confidence. What's going on Here? includes 50 flashcards and two-parent cards.

we love these so much

We love this so much that we bought the other card sets and use it for morning time with all the other kiddos. It's great to discuss what your student should do for each situation.

Great Learning Tool

My kids love these, and they are a great learning tool to help my kids be more aware of what is going on around them. I even use them to help my kids when we’re out and they seem to be unaware of how their actions affect people (ie, I will say something like, “do you remember doing ‘What’s Going on Here?’ If this were happening on one of your cards, what would you say/do?”).
