Battle Sheep

Opposing sheep herds are battling to secure the most pastureland in a strategy game that your whole family will love. Battle Sheep's tactical gameplay requires a player to think through his moves at least two steps ahead, or the open pasture will quickly become filled with rival sheep, and he will be fenced out. Using both offensive and defensive moves, the player who captures the most pasture space wins the game.

Easy to learn and easy to play without being easy to win. Battle Sheep's ever-changing pasture boards allow for different and unique game playing areas each time. Your students can play several games in less than an hour, providing them multiple opportunities to apply new strategies from their previous game. A very durable game with high-quality components, Battle Sheep's 16 pasture boards are made of laminated card stock. The 64 sheep tokens are made of thick plastic.

From the Manufacturer:
Opposing sheep herds go head to fluffy head in a strategy game the whole family will love. The goal is to occupy the most pastures with your sheep. Each turn, players split a stack of their sheep and move a portion as far is it can go in a straight line to a new pasture. Watch out for sneaky sheep and plan your moves carefully to fence out your foe! A different playing board is assembled before every game, so Battle Sheep is full of new challenges every time you play!

”My grandkids love playing Battle Sheep, to be sure, but they’d be hard-pressed to outmatch my own children’s enthusiasm for the game — or my own! We’ve played every single day since the package arrived on our front porch.”

”What I love about this strategy board game is that it’s simple enough for elementary school kids to play but challenging enough for adults so that we are all on an equal playing field.”

    Great Family Fun

I will be honest, when I first looked at this I wasn't sure we were going to like it. I took a chance and am glad I did. The whole family has a blast playing this game and it really does make you use your brain in a beneficial way. I am noticing some changes in my thinking and my kids when solving problems and even in their schoolwork. I love it when they don't even know they are learning and that is just what this game does!

    Fun Strategy

It took us a bit to figure out how the game worked, but once you have a feeling for this game it becomes a family favorite quickly. My youngest will be learning it this year in her core and I cannot wait (nor can she!).

A great game for future empire-builders!

Anyone who loves Settlers of Catan and similar empire-building games will want this for their kiddos. Not a game for anyone who feels deeply uncomfortable teaching about colonialism in history!

Winner for a great family game night.

We enjoy games that are more strategy and less on luck. This is a good strategy game for the kids, and adults. Fun way to spend a family game night.
