Bata-Waf Game
An excellent introduction to numerical games, Bata-Waf is a simple card game that preschoolers will love. Each Bata-Waf card has a unique comical dog with a different height and a corresponding number from 1 through 6. The cards have lines and colors that show the height of each dog. It’s easy to play; the tallest dog wins! Children who do not know how to count can easily work out who wins by comparing the size of the dogs. When two dogs are of the same size, that is a Bata-Waf, and the battle temporarily becomes a duel. Bata-Waf cultivates early numeracy, visual observation, critical thinking, and social/emotional maturity. For multiple players ages 3+.

Manufacturer Description:
The biggest dog wins! If 2 dogs are the same size, watch out! There is "Bata-waf"!

Fun math game

We started incorporating into family time end of last school year. Our 3 & 6 yr olds really had fun. The 8 yr old would help out and they got pretty competitive in it.

It's a cute card game

This isn't the games fault per se, but my son really struggles with card games. He likes it, it's just hard for him to keep his cards organized, hold them or remember the point, which leads to frustration and boredom. That being said, the game is a great way to practice all that :)

Also, this is the most minor nitpik, but my son would probably be better able to pay attention if the cards were of cats and not dogs. He's utterly obsessed with cats, so if this company ever comes out with a cat version, I will definitely snap it up. All this said, I approve of Bata-waf and think it's a good addition to the Timberdoodle kit.

Very nice

Great images and design on the cards. Has a very easy to understand visual to make it simple for young kids to pick up the game. While my daughter isn't quite old enough for it yet, I am looking forward to bringing it out at a later date.

Family fun

Gave to the kids in their stocking. They have been entertained with it in the evenings at the kitchen table. Been good for our 4.5 & 6.5 year olds. Great to take with too overnight for something to do.

Quality game

The cards are nice, with each having a different cute picture. My 3 yo liked playing with them one time a few months ago, but hasn't been interested in playing again. We'll keep it around as an option, and I hope to find another use for them.
