Dr. Livingston JR Human Body Floor Puzzle

Don’t underestimate puzzles as teaching tools! Puzzles’ tactile nature makes them ideal for teaching kinesthetic learners, while visual learners derive great fulfillment as the parts become a whole.

For younger learners, few things beat a floor puzzle, and what could be more suitable than a life-size (if you are four feet tall) puzzle of the human body? With Dr. Livingston JR Human Body Floor Puzzle, your children can assemble an accurate cross-section of their entire human body!

The Dr. Livingston JR puzzle shows, in astonishing detail, all the parts that work together to allow your children to sing songs, climb trees, and digest their favorite snack.

The head, chest, and abdomen showcase the vital and the digestive organs in magnificent detail. The limbs reveal intricate muscles, bones, arteries, and veins. There are no gender-related details depicted.

Dr. Livingston JR Human Body Floor Puzzle’s 100 durable, glossy cardboard pieces are thicker than those of other puzzles. The extra-large puzzle-piece size makes construction more doable for younger children.

Learning the basics of anatomy is more accessible when the details are child-sized and accurately portrayed with clear illustrations. Dr. Livingston JR Human Body Floor Puzzle measures 48” long when completed. The pieces are easily stored in the convenient puzzle box with hook-and-loop closure. For ages six and up.

    Fun Puzzle

This is a great puzzle that is challenging enough but that my 4 and 7 year old can both complete independently. It isn't tied to the science book that we are studying but is fun anyway.

    We All Learn

The entire family has learned from putting this puzzle together. Before working this puzzle with my kiddos I could not have told you where the liver was compared to the kidneys. Or where the spleen was located. Now both of my daughters can quickly sketch where major body organs are - and neither has formally studied anatomy aside from this puzzle and the Usborne body book sold by Timberdoodle :) This will be such a huge help when they get into more advanced studies and as they seek to understand their own bodies.

    Great puzzle!

My 6 year old loves this puzzle. We are studying anatomy and physiology this year, and this puzzle pairs very well with it. I love that is life-size and a floor puzzle. My son really enjoys getting down on the ground to build this.

    Great puzzle

We enjoyed learning while putting this huge puzzle together. It gives nice insight to the human body. Bought it with our first grade curriculum last year and still use it. I foresee it getting even more use in the future even.
