Let's Start Coding Base Kit

Do you have an imaginative child who does not want to actually solder circuits but would love the opportunity to tinker with them? Let's Start Coding Base Kit, designed by parents, educators, and engineers, gives your creative child a chance to experience hands-on coding. Using the same code language used at NASA, Let's Start Coding teaches C++ coding through 50 kid-friendly projects. With a computer and Let's Start Coding, kids learn how computer programming can control physical objects. And they get immediate feedback by plugging in and coding the LED lights and speaker. Parents who are new to coding will be grateful that each project incorporates an online video. It will take your child through the code line by line, clearly explaining the concepts at work. Students with no prior experience will learn how to edit, compile, and execute code with Let's Start Coding.

Interesting, but not a great fit for us

We were excited to get our daughter introduced to coding, and thought this would be a good tool. For us, it was a bad fit and we need something that's a little more beginner-friendly.

    Great Coding Kit!

My 5th grader likes how instructions are easy to understand. They can do independently and boost their confidence in coding after each lesson.

    AWESOME!

My 11 and 13 yo love it! They are able to go through the lessons completely independently, which is great because I know nothing about coding! There are step by step instructions on the included cards, videos and instructions on the website where they are going through the lessons and fun games to learn about coding. So far it is their favorite elective we purchased this year! Highly recommend!
