A Whole Bunch of Feelings

Emotional literacy is as necessary as learning the ABCs. Can your young child identify and manage his own emotions? Can he understand others’ emotions? Both are necessary for successful relationships to flourish. A Whole Bunch of Feelings will help give your child the language of feelings and offer suggestions on managing them.

Each of the 44 feelings is explored on a colorful two-page spread with a descriptive paragraph your child can relate to. Research shows that for little ones, picture books offer an additional tool for teaching emotional literacy because the illustrations serve as visual context clues. A Whole Bunch of Feelings accomplishes this beautifully.

A Whole Bunch of Feelings Review by The Learning Momma

review by The Learning Momma

A Whole Bunch of Feelings is a beautiful book for your library collection, and I would definitely recommend it for all families. The more we understand and accept all of these big feelings, the easier life is to process and muddle through.”

“Besides the fact that it was the first book my tot bothered to stop and listen to for once, it taught him (and continues to teach him) all about his feelings and explains the different kinds of feelings he can and will feel.”

Great book about Feelings

We checked this book out from the library, and we loved it so much so we decided to order it. This book does an excellent job describing feelings from a kid’s perspective. It is gentle, but thorough. The illustrations are bright and engaging. This book is a win all-around!

great family feelings book

We love this book and we do it during morning time. It's great to discuss emotions with all my kids so they can share their experiences with each other. I love the illustrations, and their examples.

Feelings

I like how this book helps to explain different feelings to young children. When children understand how they're feeling they can better handle their emotions and communicate about the situation. Helpful!

Definitely goes over a whole bunch of feelings

This book is really cool because it goes over all the different types of feelings we can have. Not just the basic ones. All those words we use to express a feeling that our little ones may not fully understand are explained nicely in this book. This is a great resources to open up vocabulary for expression and open conversations for what those things might feel like and look like. We usually go over one emotion a day so far.
