A to Z: An Alphabet of Animals
We have found that using books for teaching the alphabet is so helpful for little ones and easy for parents. Alphabet books are a great way to introduce toddlers to reading by helping them to associate letters with objects and sounds. Alphabet books for early listeners will help your toddlers build their vocabulary, so they are an excellent choice for children moving from infancy into toddlerhood.

Colorful and exciting, A to Z: An Alphabet of Animals introduces children to letter fun without making learning seem boring. The flaps are cleverly disguised by the shape of the letters, and toddlers can lift them to discover which animals are hiding under each letter. The chunky pages are toddler friendly, and the thick flaps, though as prone to tear as all flaps are, are easy for chubby fingers to lift. Young listeners will meet a narwhal under the N, an owl under the O, and a peacock under the P. The love of literacy begins with little ones listening to the reading of simple books. A to Z: An Alphabet of Animals allows toddlers to become familiar with letters in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

A Toddler Favorite

My almost 2 year old ADORES this book. I get frequent requests for "An-mal AZ!" We are going through a heavy alphabet stage (he's obsessed with just about every alphabet book he comes across right now) and this is definitely in my son's top 3 favorite alphabet books of all time. I have fun reading it, the illistrations are charming and every letter has a little flap, showing first the letter, then the animal underneath.

A word of caution, I recommend this book being read under supervision only. Many of the flaps are easily rip and tearable, especially when being handled by enthusiastic baby and toddler hands. This is definitely not a book to give a very young child unsupervised as they will quickly demolish it. You have been warned!
