fun for the whole family. we love reading this one

Very simple and easy to follow

My only complaint (and it can't even really be called a complaint) is that the lessons are one page a day but are very simple and both my kids were a little underwhelmed with the effort they required so they would routinely do the entire week in one sitting.

Feels a little dated

There’s a few sections that feel useful but most of it felt like busy work. Not exactly what I have in mind for social studies. I get that it is supplemental but it still felt very dry.

Great resource for social studies topics

We just started this workbook but have enjoyed it so far. It's easy and engaging for my kindergartener. I like that it covers civics, economics, geography and history. Little learners are exposed to the basics of the United States without going too deep yet. I love that it includes coin recognition because so many kindergarteners and first graders struggle with understanding money. I wasn't taught much of this when I was in kindergarten and it's totally doable at this age. I also really like the cover of the book with the american flag, the statue of liberty, and george washington because everytime we grab our book, it reminds us visually that those are common elements of social studies. We'll probably breeze through the workbook quickly, but that will give us time to either level up or focus on any areas that we may potentially struggle with.
