Quixo
A Parents’ Choice Gold Award Winner and a Mensa Select Winner, Quixo is one of the few strategic games played by both 2 or 4 players.
In Quixo, the player chooses a cube from the perimeter, places it on the opposite end of the row/column, and shifts the entire row/column until one player manages to create a 5-in-a-row to win.
Because all turns result in a row/column sliding, the playing surface changes with each move. Every play in Quixo can be offensive or defensive, but the best actions are both.
This strategy results in a battle of wits, with each player carefully considering the implications of every move. Quickly learned by all, Quixo is a perfect coffee table game with attractive wooden pieces.
