Spelling You See - Level E

We love this multisensory spelling program and are convinced it will help your child become a confident, successful speller, naturally and at his own speed. And it has the research to back us up. Because Spelling You See encourages visual memory rather than rote memory, there are no weekly spelling lists or tests, and very little instructor preparation is required.

Each daily lesson in Spelling You See uses real words presented in context within poems or informational passages. Each lesson is colorful, short, to the point, and fun! Did I mention we’re in love? You will be too when you discover how relaxed and easy it is to implement Spelling You See.

Instructor’s handbooks are relatively small but packed with valuable information that will show how simple this program is and how comfortably it will fit into your daily life. Also included are answer keys and dictation material essential for each level.

We love Spelling You See

We have been using this program for 6 years and love it. It has helps my three kids be confident spellers. We do a little more than required (pick out words each week that look funny or we want to work on and go over those everyday), but I love the themes, which happened to go right along with our US History.

A spelling program that truly works

We've been using Spelling You See for nearly five years now, and only recently have I truly grasped its effectiveness! Writing and spelling are often challenging subjects for young learners due to its complexity and repetitiveness. This program focuses on three key components: reading passages, chunking (identifying vowels, consonants, bossy r's, endings, etc.), and copy work (dictation and memorization at the end of each lesson). What I've come to realize is the remarkable power of chunking. While my kids may be growing a bit weary of it, we're witnessing tangible results! When we're out and about, my son will inquire about how to spell something, and I'll respond with hints like "there is a bossy r in there" or "it's a vowel team." My 4th grader is spelling long and tricky words that even I have to look up to see if it’s correct. We're beginning to see the fruits of our efforts, and it's truly rewarding!

Love this curriculum!

I think one of my favorites parts of this curriculum is the colored pencils! They are seriously a game changer in leaning spelling. The lessons are wonderful as well. I have very hands-on, visual learners, so the way this curriculum is laid out is perfect for them.

spelling work is good

This is repetitive and great for kids who need the practice everyday. For one of my kids she does this daily, for my other she doesn't need each daily lesson so we do letters a, b, and d since she's is good at remembering her spelling words. We thought about switching to AAS but didn't since we are covering some of the stuff in AAR.
