    Simple & Enjoyable

We appreciate the topics included within this science curriculum. With a previous curriculum, some of the concepts presented in first grade did not seem age appropriate. However, this bundle has been nice in reviewing age-appropriate concepts with a variety of suggested science projects along the way.

    NOT FOR US!

This is no more than a read aloud to my younger kids. There are experiments, but they are incredibly simple do not hold our kids interest. Additionally, they are all experiments we have done in previous years. None of the materials needed for experiments in provided so it also requires a bit of upfront work from you - which is challenging when teaching 3 kids at multiple levels. Also not at all budget friendly. Didn't even make it past the second week of school with this one. Ugh!

We are sorry that the curriculum didn't work well for your children. We understand that for younger grades, too much text or complicated concepts can be overwhelming for children, and too complex of experiments can be difficult for parents. That's why we recommend the Discover! series, which provides a perfect balance of concise and engaging text and fun but simple experiments that won't overwhelm the child or the parent.
But we understand that every child is unique, and a one-size-fits-all approach may not work for everyone. Therefore, we offer alternatives wherever possible. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We hope your review will help other families like yours to experience many happy homeschool days.
